The school principal and school superintendent who had the school resource officer assigned to the campus escorted off the premises after he ticketed the principal for being illegally parked have each made an attempt to make amends. The incident sparked national outrage among police and law enforcement supporters.

According to Fox News, Principal Carrie Boyer paid the $250 fine on Friday, and the district's superintendent apologized for removing from the building the school resource officer who issued the ticket.

"I would like to extend my sincere apology and regret to officer Adam Chinchic and his colleagues at the Warren Police Department for my decision to have him removed from Jefferson PK-8 School by district officials on Tuesday, January 8," superintendent Steve Chiaro stated in a press release.
