Force Training Institute's MTS Rifle Plate with Level III Protection is an upgrade for its Multi-Threat Shield. The Rifle Plate can be inserted into the top panel flap of the MTS to provide NIJ Level III protection to vital body areas. The plate is constructed of lightweight rubber coated Dyneema and measures 16"x9"x0.75". The plate itself is a lightweight 3.5 pounds, with the total weight of the MTS rounding out to 10.5 pounds. The MTS has the appearance of a laptop bag, and is designed for protection against firearms, blunt objects, and edged weapons.
