A Rochester (N.H.) Police detective wounded during the deadly Greenland ambush is back on the job following a 16-month hiatus recovering from the gun battle.

Detective Jeremiah Murphy was shot in the chest during the April 12 shootout between narcotics task force officers and Cullen Mutrie, who had opened fire on the officers. During the deadly raid, Mutrie killed Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney and wounded four other officers.

Murphy, who has served teh agency since 2004, returned to the department earlier this week, reports Foster's Daily Democrat.
