A Pennsylvania police officer will face a simple assault charge for using his TASER on an unruly 17-year-old in custody after two warnings to settle down.

Senior District Judge David T. Videon ordered a trial for Colwyn (Pa.) Police Cpl. Trevor Parham during Tuesday's preliminary hearing. Da'Qwaun Jackson said he was arrested April 24, after refusing to give the officer his name.

Jackson was placed in a holding cell, and was warned twice to stop kicking and screaming. Cpl. Parham then removed the TASER probes and "dry stunned" Jackson, reports the Daily Times.
