Two Lake Mary (Fla.) Police officers are recovering from injuries they sustained when they were struck by a driver fleeing arrest in Seminole County.

Officer Travis Carraway and Sgt. Steve Towler were released from the hospital Sunday and are expected to fully recover.

The incident began at about 11 p.m. Saturday, when the officers observed Justin Bradley, 25, smoking a blunt (cannabis cigarette) in his car. Officer Carraway was attempting to retrieve the keys from Bradley when the driver apparently rolled over the officer's foot. Sgt. Towler then attempted to block Bradley's escape with his patrol vehicle; a head-on collision injured both men.
