A woman who used to work in the city personnel office of Wichita Falls, Texas, has been accused of giving personal information about police officers to drug users as payment for her ex-husband’s drug debts.

Tiffany Marie Green, 22, has been charged with tampering with a governmental record. Police say Green gave personal details about at least eight officers to drug manufacturers and users. Some of the officers do undercover work.

Police discovered a problem early this month when a drug user brought in to the jail had among his possessions a handwritten memo from the city personnel office with an officer’s private information on it.

Green has said she is sorry for what happened. City Personnel Director Jan Stricklin says more security measures will probably be added in the city office to prevent it from happening again.
