Raid on Oakland House Nets Two Pounds of Methamphetamine

Oakland (Calif.) officers report that they found more than $300,000 worth of methamphetamine underneath an East Oakland house and charged the occupant, Armando Galvez, with possession of methamphetamine and cocaine with intent to sell and possession of firearms in commission of a felony.

The arrest was the culmination of a three-week investigation led by the Gang Unit. Police say Galvez was a mid-level dealer supplying street dealers.

Searches of the home also netted three ounces of cocaine, four guns, $2,000 in cash, and bus tickets that police say were used to bring “mules” up from Mexico.

Galvez, 34, is reportedly an illegal alien, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency has placed a hold on him
