The Tactical ScanLite from Tactical Scanners is a combination re-chargeable flashlight and metal detector. The nine-inch-long device weighs only 12 ounces and is designed to fit conveniently on a duty belt. On one end, a 1.1-inch-wide metal detector uses a triaxel detection field to uniformly detect ferrous and nonferrous metals inches away in all directions. On the other end, a 1.5-inch-wide flashlight runs on NiMH AA rechargeable batteries and uses a high-intensity xenon gas-filled bi-pin lamp. The flashlight/metal detector operates in temperatures between 15 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
