St. Louis Police Chief Dan Isom said Wednesday that he had transferred three of the Police Academy's leaders for meting out what he considered to be uneven discipline to cadets.
The disclosure comes a day after the release of a three-page summary of an independent audit that found no evidence of racism at the academy.
Isom said in an interview that he "acknowledged there was a problem with the leadership in the academy," but said he didn't know if discipline had been racially biased. The officers transferred were a lieutenant and two sergeants.
