5,000 Applicants Take Buffalo Police Exam

Most of the nearly 5,000 hopefuls with the goal of becoming a Buffalo Police officer showed up on Saturday to take the three-and-a-half-hour exam, creating long lines at the Convention Center.

Most of the nearly 5,000 hopefuls with the goal of becoming a Buffalo Police officer showed up on Saturday to take the three-and-a-half-hour exam, creating long lines at the Convention Center.

Applicants arrived from Buffalo and many other areas of Western New York. The exam was last given in 2007 and drew 3,300 applicants.
