Officials say around 9:15 a.m., the Milwaukee Police Department’s Tactical Enforcement Unit was in the neighborhood to serve a search warrant. At 9:20 a.m., officers made contact with two subjects — and shots were fired. One officer was struck and mortally wounded.
The Special Operations Unit with the Prince George’s County (MD) Police Department was executing a search warrant on Wednesday night when they came under fire as they entered the suspect's residence.

The officer who was hit by the car suffered an injury to his right knee. Two other officers also were injured at the scene, but how they were hurt was unclear. All three officers were in stable condition at a local hospital.
The officer — a 32-year-old detective whose name has not yet been released — was struck by one of the bullets in the leg and rushed to a nearby hospital.
