Suicidal Texas Man Torches Car, Injures Responding Officers
Officers arrived at the Texaco Gas Station at Interstate 35 and Stassney Lane around 2 a.m. and found 47-year-old Andrew Guerrero outside the car. Officers said they asked him to come over, but he instead rushed inside the car that had apparently been doused in combustible substance. More Here.

Gunman Shoots at Austin Buildings, Including Police HQ
A gunman opened fire at four different buildings, including APD headquarters, the Mexican Consulate and the Federal Courthouse early Friday morning. An officer about to get off duty saw the suspect near APD HQ and opened fire on the suspect who fell to the ground.

2 Killed After DWI Suspect Flees Officers, Plows into Austin Festival Crowd
Two were killed and 23 injured Wednesday night after a DWI suspect reportedly fled police and plowed into a crowd of people in downtown Austin, Texas, waiting outside of a club for a South by Southwest festival concert. The driver has been charged with two counts of capital murder.

Austin (Texas) Police Lt. Clay Crabb died Wednesday in a crash on the way to work when his patrol vehicle slid off a rain-slick stretch of U.S. 290. He would have turned 43 on Thursday.
