NYPD, Clergy Purchase Guns In Brooklyn
The NYPD partnered with Brooklyn clergy to purchase 174 firearms in a six-hour period during its Cash for Guns event. During the Sunday event, the Coalition to Reduce Violent Crime handed out $200 gift cards to purchase the firearms.

Confiscated Guns Crushed for Art
Los Angeles law enforcement officials including Los Angeles County Sheriff Leroy Baca and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck attended an event marking the crushing of 3,469 pounds of weapons mostly used in crimes.
