CVS Pharmacy Admits It Sold Meth-Making Chemical To Criminals
Retail pharmacy CVS agrees to pay a $77.6-million fine after admitting to unlawfully selling pseudo-ephedrine to criminals. It's the largest civil penalty under the federal Controlled Substance Act, according to the DEA.

The Utah Meth Cops Project exists to treat law enforcement officers who have been repeatedly exposed to toxins in methamphetamine labs on the job. FLEOA invited project spokesperson Vincent D'Onofrio and FLEOA members who've gone through the treatment program to speak at the association's conference and raise awareness.

Clandestine Meth Labs
About 20 percent of all meth labs are discovered due to an explosion. Besides the obvious immediate concerns associated with any structure explosion, meth labs create a special set of problems for law enforcement. Police must be aware of these concerns and have a plan in place to mitigate them.

Treasure Hunters and the Desert Madness
LASD SEB (SWAT) was called in. They approached the structures in an armored car. Suspect Kueck engaged the SEB vehicle with his .223 assault rifle giving away his position. A heavier LAPD SWAT armored battering ram was brought up and tear gas was fired into the wooden structure.
