A Canton (S.D.) Police officer has been cleared by a jury in a civil lawsuit that claimed his use of a TASER and pepper spray was excessive. Officer Adam Dupic had used a TASER and pepper spray to subdue a man who ignored 51 orders.

Wounded S.D. Officer Returns to Duty
Officer Tim Doyle was seriously wounded in the Aug. 2 gun battle that claimed the lives of officers J. Ryan McCandless and Nick Armstrong. Officer Doyle was shot in the temple; the bullet was sent along his jaw line and lodged in his chest, where it remains.
