Official: Guards Taken Hostage by Inmates at Delaware Prison
The Department of Correction commissioner said prison guards had been taken hostage at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, DE. The department said that DOC Response Teams and Delaware State Police were on the scene.

LASD to Deploy UAV to Aid Deputies Working Bomb and Hostage Incidents
Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell said Thursday that his agency will begin deploying an unmanned aerial device to aid deputies responding to arson scenes, suspected bombs and hostage situations, but he promised the device would not be used to surveil residents.

Video: DOJ Releases Redacted Transcript of 911 Calls from Orlando Nightclub Terrorist
The Department of Justice today released redacted transcripts of Omar Mateen’s calls to Orlando Police — made during his assault on the Pulse gay nightclub — that included Mateen’s claim of responsibility, as well as identifying himself to police as an Islamic soldier. But all other references to ISIS or Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi were scrubbed clean by the DOJ.

Mina said the off-duty officer engaged in a shoot-out with Mateen up until more officers arrived. Additional police officers arrived and also engaged the suspect, and “forced him to stop shooting and retreat to the bathroom where he had some hostages.” More Here.
