An armed man suspected of taking hostages and firing shots at an Amarillo Walmart has been shot and is dead, according to the Amarillo (TX) Police Department.
Officials say the suspect was located inside the store and shot shortly after tactical units entered the building. Police have yet to confirm the identity of the man, reports KFDA-TV.
Amarillo Fire Chief Larry Davis said there are no other injuries.
Multiple police units, including state troopers, Amarillo PD, and the Randall County (TX) Sheriff's Office, were called to the Walmart at 4215 Canyon Drive around 11 a.m.
