Narcotic Transporter Bust
With "Project Deliverance," federal agencies cooperating with local LE officers arrested more than 2,000 narcotics transporters and Mexican cartel associates in mid-June. The multi-jurisdictional operation also led to the seizure of $154 million and 74.1 tons of drugs, as well as the arrest of a high-priority target. These photos, which are courtesy of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), show some of the evidence seized in the drug trafficking operation.

San Bernardino Vehicle Stop Triggers $45 Million Drug Seizure
The department's narcotics division confiscated approximately 2,750 pounds of cocaine, 67 pounds of methamphetamine and 38,000 pounds of marijuana, after searching the tractor trailer.

Coke was arrested by Jamaican authorities on June 22 near Kingston, after a five-week pursuit by local authorities. He will face drug trafficking and gun running charges related to his role as leader of the Shower Posse, which gained its name by showering foes with bullets.

Mendioloa received the guilty verdict June 18, following a trial that began June 7 and involved 38 prosecution witnesses. The testimony from witnesses revealed that Mendiola ordered the drugs from areas in California such as Van Nuys and Lancaster.
