Retired NYPD Detective Fights Off 2 Carjackers
Two men, one of them carrying a fake gun, reportedly tried to carjack a woman in Newark who just happened to be a retired NYPD officer. Erica Marlow, who had never fired her gun while on duty during her 23 years on the force, squeezed off at least two shots — hitting both of the would-be robbers.

Vigilant Awards $5,000 to New Jersey State Police Survivors Fund
Vigilant Solutions is honoring the New Jersey State Police Regional Operations and Intelligence Center (ROIC) with the first annual "Best In Force" award recognizing the agency's outstanding use of Vigilant's investigative platform. The award includes a $5,000 donation to the New Jersey State Police Survivors of the Triangle fund.
