Former Fort Worth Chief Establishes Nonprofit to Raise Money for Law Enforcement Agencies, Officers
“Our belief is simple," says Halstead, “and the 'blue' in our name (HOPE 4 BLUE) says it all: Backing Law enforcement Unites Everyone." As he further explains, this new nonprofit has four distinct missions. In addition to providing police departments with the advanced training many so sorely need, HOPE 4 BLUE will help them purchase more advanced equipment and offer financial aid to critically injured officers."

Oregon Department Receives K-9 Safety Grant from the Spirit of Blue Foundation
The Spirit of Blue Foundation has awarded a K-9 Safety Grant to the Beaverton (OR) Police Department to contribute to the acquisition of a tracking and article search K-9. The $2,500 grant was sponsored by the Planet Dog Foundation.
