Accused Man Sues Baltimore PD After Attempted Murder Charges Dropped
A Baltimore man accused of trying to kill a city police officer last summer is now suing the officer and the police department for violating his civil rights, alleging the officer fabricated facts in the case in an "utterly outrageous, offensive and intolerable" manner.

Minneapolis Announces Tougher Police Body Camera Policy
"For the first time, we're giving the body camera policy teeth by providing the first clear disciplinary structure for instances when this policy is violated," Mayor Jacob Frey said at a news conference announcing the new rules. "It is a stronger, clearer and more precise policy."

The Los Angeles Police Department's years-long practice of keeping video from body cameras and patrol cars under wraps will soon end after the agency's civilian bosses approved a policy Tuesday that requires the release of recordings in the future.

Police say after a murder suspect, Joel Armstrong, carjacked a vehicle to get away on Feb. 16, they tracked him to Alameda and De Haro streets near the San Francisco Design Center. He refused to come out of an RV after repeated orders.
