Wisconsin Officer Nominated for HAIX Hero of the Month
Winkler says he is still learning from Fischer's dedication to duty. "He definitely stands out to all of us firefighters for going above and beyond his call of duty. We had a hazmat call for a semi that slid down a road and tore its fuel tank open. Keith was the officer that responded. He helped us set up traffic cones, secure the perimeter, and direct traffic. He was not required to do any of this, especially in the freezing cold blizzard."

Edgerton Police Chief Tom Klubertanz retired last week, and received many radio messages as he called in 10-42. One of the messages he received was from his son—a United States Marine stationed in Africa.

4 Injured, None Fatally, in Wisconsin Workplace Shooting
Four people were shot—none fatally—in a workplace shooting in Middleton (WI) Wednesday morning. The suspected gunman was also shot and later died. It is unclear if the suspect was shot by police or if his wound was self-inflicted.

Police officers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison police and Dane County Sheriff's Office will not march in Madison's upcoming Pride Parade because some LGBTQ community members voiced concerns about feeling unsafe with officers participating armed and in uniform.

3 Wisconsin Officers Treated for Fentanyl Exposure
Officers said they spotted a man and a woman in a stolen vehicle in the parking lot. While searching that vehicle, officers say they removed a purse that had an unknown substance in it. One officer began feeling ill while still on the scene, the other showed symptoms back at the station.
