The Colonie (N.Y.) Police officers who subdued a weightlifter who later died appear to have acted appropriately, according to Chief Steven Heider. Responding officers stopped Chad Brothers, 32, who was tearing up a Gold's Gym in a one-man riot on Monday.

A Canton (S.D.) Police officer has been cleared by a jury in a civil lawsuit that claimed his use of a TASER and pepper spray was excessive. Officer Adam Dupic had used a TASER and pepper spray to subdue a man who ignored 51 orders.
