The Rev. Greg Boyle, the Jesuit priest who founded Homeboy Industries, has published a memoir about his work steering wayward youth away from gang involvement.
Boyles' "Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion" explores the activist's experiences in a literary, poetic format woking with youth after founding Homeboy Industries in 1992.
The program offers free tattoo removal and provides counseling, tutoring and employment services.
