A Superior (Wisc.) Police tactical officer is facing domestic assault charges, stemming from his assault of a woman identified as his girlfriend during an argument after a visit to an area casino.

Sgt. Daniel Ellis Hawkin II, 43, is a 19-year veteran of the agency and a member of the tactical response team, reports the Duluth News Tribune.

Hawkin allegedly struck a 32-year-old Lake Nebagamon woman three times, including twice in the face, because she wanted to leave the Black Bear Casino and he didn't.
