Memorial Planned for Fallen K-9s During Police Week

The National Police Dog Foundation, Fraternal Order of Police DC Lodge #1, and United for Blue are co-hosting a memorial service for fallen K-9s during Police Week.

The National Police Dog Foundation, Fraternal Order of Police DC Lodge #1, and United for Blue are co-hosting a memorial service for fallen K-9s during Police Week. The Second Annual Police K-9 Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday May 11 at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC.

The memorial service includes a wreath-laying ceremony.

The National Police Dog Foundation will be hosting a reception following the ceremony at the DC FOP Lodge #1, 711 4th Street. NW, Washington DC, 20001.

The National Police Dog Foundation has also established the K-9 Memorial Fund. The fund assists law enforcement agencies in purchasing and training replacement K-9s for those who have fallen in the line of duty. To donate, go to www.nationalpolicedogfoundation.org/donate/k-9-memorial-fund.
