Texas K-9 Injured in Line of Duty to be Honored by Community

A K-9 with the Lubbock (TX) Police Department injured in the line of duty in August 2019 will be honored by the Lubbock Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2466 later this week.

A K-9 with the Lubbock (TX) Police Department injured in the line of duty in August 2019 will be honored by the Lubbock Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2466 later this week.

According to KCBD-TV, FW Post 2466 will honor K-9 Max with a special ceremony for his sacrifice in protecting his partner when a suspect opened fire on both of them.

Max suffered two gunshot wounds and was rushed to a veterinarian ER facility. He is still recovering from his injuries.
