California Officer Shot During Pat-Down Search

An officer was conducting a pat-down search of a male in a group of two males and two females. The man got nervous, went to the ground, then got up, pulled out a gun and shot twice at the officer. Neither bullet hit the officer, although one struck his car. The officer did not return fire.

Oakland Police Kill Man Pointing Fake Rifle

Officers fatally shot 39-year-old Matthew Cicelski outside his ex-girlfriend's home as he walked around the 5500 block of Taft Avenue clad in camouflage clothing. Neighbors reported Cicelski walking up and down and "prancing" along Taft Avenue as if he were "patrolling" the street.
