Video: Retired Chicago Officer Shoots, Kills Carjacking Suspect

"The retired Chicago Police officer was able to fire shots, striking the offender in the upper body. The offender was taken to Mercy Hospital [where he died]. The other two suspects were apprehended, and area south detectives are handling the investigation," Sgt. Rocco Alioto said shortly after the shooting.

Police said Hope was coming home from work shortly after midnight, he was on his front porch when two armed men approached him. Shots were exchanged during the attempted robbery. Hope was shot three times but is reportedly in good condition. More Here.
