DOJ Lawyers Sent to Minneapolis to Investigate Police Shooting That Sparked Protests

Federal and state authorities have thus far resisted releasing the footage. Cameras from an ambulance, mobile police camera, public housing cameras and cell phone footage caught the shooting. However, police say none of the videos show the full incident and that releasing them could compromise the investigation.

Rookie St. Louis Officer Wounded in Shootout

A rookie St. Louis City police officer who just graduated from the academy last month is recovering after he was shot during a struggle with a suspect. Chief Sam Dotson says the officer was shot once in the left neck and shoulder area but is expected to be okay. The injury is described as non-life threatening. More Here.

Officers Named in Minneapolis OIS, Union Says Shooting was Result of Gun Grab

Lt. Bob Kroll, president of the police union, said the shooting happened after Clark allegedly tried to grab one of the officer’s guns when they responded to a paramedic’s 911 call for help early Sunday morning and scuffled with Clark. An autopsy said Clark died of a gunshot wound to the head.
