Officers handed out fliers telling the demonstrators they had 10 minutes to collect their things and leave. Following the notification, the Minneapolis Fire Department began extinguishing the protestors’ campfires with buckets of water as police and city crews hauled away items on the street.

Federal and state authorities have thus far resisted releasing the footage. Cameras from an ambulance, mobile police camera, public housing cameras and cell phone footage caught the shooting. However, police say none of the videos show the full incident and that releasing them could compromise the investigation.

Black Lives Matter Forms Political Action Committee

Black Lives Matter is a collective of organizations that sprung up around the country after a series of incidents of controversial police and private gun-owner shootings of African-Americans that have been legally determined to be justified. It has been labeled a hate group by some conservatives and quite nearly has been blamed by the FBI director for emboldening criminals and cowing cops. And now, it includes a political action committee, as defined by the Federal Election Commission.
