Massachusetts State Police May Fire 22 Troopers in Overtime Scandal

Massachusetts State Police Colonel Christopher Mason announced on Friday afternoon that as many as 22 troopers may face termination in the wake of the ongoing overtime fraud investigation that has led to at least 10 troopers facing jail time and the total dissolution of an entire Troop.

Duty Deaths Down 53% in First 6 Months of 2025, NLEOMF Reports

According to preliminary data NLEOMF reports that 42 federal, state, territory, county, and municipal officers died in the line of duty in the first half of 2025, compared to 89 officers who died in the first half of 2024 during the same timeframe.
