Deputy Walks In On Robbery In Progress

A suspect enters a San Dimas (Calif.) convenience market on Dec. 9, 2009 and purchases a few items so that the clerk opens the register drawer. He then removes a semi-auto pistol from his pocket. The clerk hits their silent alarm and a few moments later a LASD deputy walks in, but doesn't see the customer's left hand. The suspect, about 12 feet from the deputy, looks right into her eyes and instead of shooting her, slips his gun back into his pocket and casually walks out.
