Independent Forensics’ Rapid Stain Identification Semen Kit (RSID-Semen) is the first fluid specific test for the presence of semen. The kit is specific for human semenogelin antigens and will not cross-react with the myriad of other human body fluids that can cause false positives. The RSID Semen kit is designed to help crime laboratories correctly identify which samples from rape kits should go forward for DNA analysis.

Two new rail-mountable LED tactical lights from Streamlight, the TLR-1 and TLR-2, utilize a three-watt Luxeon LED to produce up to 80 lumens of blinding white beam, and a bright secondary halo of light while mounted on a firearm. The TLR-2 adds an integrated aiming laser. Both offer up to 2.5 hours of continuous runtime and an LED featuring a 20,000-hour lifetime.

Mustang Survival’s new Deluxe HT series of inflatable personal flotation devices feature an auto hydrostatic inflator for high-risk weather conditions. Each PFD’s inflation device is triggered by hydrostatic pressure when submerged four inches below the water surface, and is not sensitive to rain, water spray, or humidity. The inflator is maintenance free for five years, unless fired.

The company says the ROADGUARD/2 is the first portable Jersey-style barrier to be manufactured by the blow-molding process, using High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. The double-chambered ROADGUARD/2 is six feet long, 3.5 feet high, two feet wide at the bottom, and 10 inches wide at the top.
