Essential Gear’s new line of Personal Defense Lights (PDLs) utilize a Luxeon 3-Watt LED, which produces up to 80 lumens of pure white light. The standard PDL model works on two Lithium 123A batteries, has a three-hour burn time, and measures 5.1x1 inches. The “Mini” PDL model works on one Lithium 123A battery, has a two-hour burn time, and measures 3.75x1 inches. Both feature aluminum faceted reflectors, polycarbonate lens, pocket clip, and O-ring seals to provide water-resistance. An end-cap switch provides momentary-on or constant-on settings and has a switch lock-out to prevent accidental activation.
