Speed Measurement Gear

The DragonEye Speed LIDAR provides advanced target acquisition and range performance in a lightweight package. The LIDAR's construction uses an internal metal chassis linking all critical alignment components in a shock-resistant polymer exterior housing. The unit operates with two standard or rechargeable C cell batteries and contains buttons for weather mode, volume, brightness and advanced obstruction avoidance mode. Equipped with anti-jamming, the DragonEye Speed LIDAR makes it difficult for speeders to evade being caught. The technology is also available as the DragonEye compact speed LIDAR.

Stalker Radar's X-Series LIDARs are compact speed guns built with circuit miniaturization technology. The X-Series Long Range (XLR) is ideal for targets as far as 4,000 feet away while the X-Series Standard (XS) is ideal for metropolitan and suburban departments where target ranges don't exceed 2,000 feet. Both LIDARs feature continuous tracking and single-shot modes with a variable auto tone corresponding to target speed. Speeds can be measured from 1 to 299 mph and acquisition time is under four-tenths of a second. The Li-Ion battery runtime depends on how long and how often speeds are measured. The X-Series LIDARs feature rugged mold

LTI's TruSpeed Sx laser with iOS and Android compatible Bluetooth syncs with a smartphone app to capture and store a picture of a vehicle along with its speed. LTI's SpeedCapture App collects the time, speed, and distance data as well as letting officers input vehicle and violation information. It embeds this data within the photo and can either be saved to a camera roll for texting and emailing or the whole data log can be downloaded onto a PC. An extensive vehicle database of all known makes and models is preloaded into this app for an easily accessible pick list. Police departments can use this app for both speed enforcement and stat

Jamar Technologies introduced Bluetooth capability to its Radar Recorder, allowing officers to log in covertly and view vehicle speeds in real time. The Radar Recorder uses a radar signal to record vehicle speeds rather than road tubes that have to be installed across the road. The Radar Recorder mounts to a pole on the side of the road and it is essentially invisible to drivers. Officers can download the data to the software TRAXPro to analyze vehicle speeds and assign officers accordingly.

Digital Ally's Laser Ally LIDAR offers long range and battery life, as well as anti-jamming technology. The lightweight Laser Ally pinpoints individual vehicles in various conditions, including through vehicle windows, bad weather, or congested traffic. The system can also track through obstacles and acquires targets in three-tenths of a second. Laser Ally is ruggedized for heavy use and waterproof for harsh environmental conditions. It features a floating internal structure to maintain accuracy. The gun's body is composed of a polycarbonate ABS blend for strength and chemical resistance.

The RadarSign Titan TC-400B is a battery powered radar speed sign that's lightweight and durable. The sign weighs 20 pounds. The faceplate measures 24-by-21 inches with 3-inch lettering. It can mount in minutes to poles with a small, universal mounting bracket. The internal .25-inch Bashplate protects components from abuse or vandalism. The 11-inch amber LEDs with directional beam technology provide a quality viewable display with minimum energy usage. It has a runtime of two weeks and field replacement of batteries allows for multi-month usage. It is equipped with Bluetooth for wireless operation and the data can be processed directly to an off
