Beretta's 3032 Tomcat Pistol

WeaponsPhotos 9

Beretta's 3032 Tomcat sub-compact pistol makes an excellent "get them off you" gun for off-duty carry or as a back-up weapon. Read Paul Scarlata's full  "Arsenal" review  of the pistols. Photos courtesy of Butch Simpson.

The single-column magazine holds seven rounds of .32 ACP ammunition.

The 3032 Tomcat has a DA/SA trigger, external hammer, and safety. Note the open top slide, a Beretta trademark that lessens the likelihood of a spent case hanging up during ejection. The lever on the frame is used to release the pivoting barrel.

The Trijicon front sight has a tritium insert for use in low light that is surrounded by a highly visible white "doughnut" for fast sight acquisition in normal light.

The Tomcat INOX version has a stainless steel slide with anodized frame. The shallow V "express" rear sight provides fast sight alignment and target acquisition.

Beretta's Model 21A Bobcat is available in .22 LR and .25 ACP and served as the inspiration for the .32 caliber Tomcat.

The Tomcat's pivoting barrel allowed easy loading and fast, safe unloading.

This right-hand view of the Tomcat shows how the slide is relieved to ensure positive ejection of spent cases.

A pocket holster like this DeSantis allows the Tomcat to be carried comfortably and unobtrusively in the front pocket of service trousers.

Beretta's Tomcat is a compact, concealable package for firepower.
