Lakeland Industries introduces its public safety vest for police professionals. Starting November 2008, Federal legislation 23CFR634 states that workers on foot whose duties place them in the right-of-way of a federal-aid highway must wear high-visibility apparel. This includes police officers. Lakeland's Public Safety Vest meets or exceeds the new legislation. The vest features a choice of zipper front or Velcro closure, as well as a badge tab and dual mic tabs. This shorter length vest easily accommodates a duty belt.
