ArmourLite offers three models of shatter-resistant tritium watches—the Prefessional, ColorBurst, and Captain Field series. The watches feature tritium illumination, a self-activating light that creates illumination with tritium gas. Small glass vials in the watch are coated with a thin layer of phosphorescent powder that allows the energy created by the tritium gas to convert into light. As a result, the Armourlite tritium watches don't need an outside power source or battery for illumination and will work continuously for more 20 years, according to the company.
