Ridge Outdoors' Ultimate (Model 9000) and Utlimate Mid (Model 9003) offer eight- and six-inch heights, respectively. The outsole on both models uses a combination of air and gel pockets to provide greater comfort. Heel support is gel. The interior uses Poron foam to absorb shock and make the boot feel more like a tennis shoe when worn. The upper uses rip-stop nylon with a YKK "aquaguard" zipper used by SEAL teams. The eight-inch model weighs 25 ounces, while the six-inch model weighs 24 ounces.
