An Angleton, Texas, Police sergeant died Sunday June 1, 2025, after he was critically injured while escorting a funeral.
Angleton Police Chief Lupe Valdez issued a Facebook statement that said Sgt. J.D. White was struck by a vehicle.

Sgt. J.D. White served with the Angleton (Texas) Police Department for 19 years.

He was transported from the accident scene by LifeFlight but died at the hospital.
White served 19 years with the Angleton PD.
“This is a tremendous loss for our department and for the Angleton community,” Chief Valdez said.
