The 20-year-old New Jersey man convicted of fatally shooting a Lakewood patrolman in his cruiser at point blank range will spend the rest of his life behind bars without an opportunity for parole.

A judge in Toms River sentenced Jahmell Crockam today, reports the Associated Press.

Crockam was convicted in February of first-degree murder of Officer Christopher Matlosz in January 2011.
