Ohio High School Shooter To Be Tried As Adult

The Ohio teenager accused of gunning down three classmates in the Chardon High School cafeteria will be tried as an adult, a judge ruled on Thursday. If convicted, T.J. Lane would be eligible for life imprisonment.

The Ohio teenager accused of gunning down three classmates in the Chardon High School cafeteria will be tried as an adult, a judge ruled on Thursday.

If convicted, T.J. Lane would be eligible for life imprisonment. Land had previously been arraigned as a juvenile, so Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Judge Tim Grendell's ruling begins a new round of legal proceedings. Lane is being held in the county Juvenile Detention Center without bond, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Lane, 17, is accused of entering the school cafeteria Feb. 27 and shooting six students. Three victims died, including Russell King Jr., 17; Demetrius Hewlin, 16; and Daniel Parmertor, 16.
