Prosecutors charged the man allegedly responsible for one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history with 141 felonies in connection with the midnight movie theater shooting that left 12 dead and 58 wounded.
James Holmes, 24, faces 24 murder charges, including 12 first-degree counts and 12 counts of "murder with extreme indifference." The minimum sentence for those charges is life without parole; the maximum is the death penalty, according to the Denver Post .
