On April 19th, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) hosted a 20-Year Remembrance Ceremony in Oklahoma City to honor the eight fallen law enforcement heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice ‎in 1995. The ceremony was held in the Federal Plaza overlooking the Memorial grounds. FLEOA convened prominent speakers to deliver the message that the memory and sacrifice of our law enforcement heroes will always be remembered.

The ceremony opened with the FPS Honor Guard proudly carrying the American Flag that was rescued from the federal building in 1995. Oklahoma State Police Trooper Brad Dansby honored everyone with his singing of our National Anthem.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson delivered the keynote remarks in honor of the federal officers who were killed that fatal day. Additional poignant remarks were delivered by USSS Director Joseph Clancy and ICE-HSI Director Peter Edge. Both represent agencies who suffered law enforcement casualties during the attack on the OKC federal building in 1995. Craig Floyd, Chairman and Executive Director of the NLEOMF, delivered passionate closing remarks, paying tribute to each of the fallen heroes. He concluded with the law enforcement time-honored tradition of the "End of Watch" names reading.

After Chairman Floyd's concluding remarks, Secretary Johnson and FLEOA President Jon Adler led everyone down to the Memorial grounds for a placing of the law enforcement blue wreath. All pledged their faith, honor, and remembrance to our fallen heroes as Bagpipers Dan Diette and Craig Weatherwax played a moving rendition of Amazing Grace. As FLEOA President Adler stated during the ceremony, a madman's bombs and bullets may wreak havoc, but they can never shatter the indomitable American will nor take away our remembrance for our fallen heroes.

—Jon Adler, FLEOA President
