Video: Raleigh Police Union to Vote on Beyonce Concert Boycott
The Raleigh Police Protective Association is expected to vote Tuesday evening on whether to boycott providing security for Beyonce's upcoming concert at Carter-Finley stadium on May 3.

The Raleigh Police Protective Association is expected to vote Tuesday evening on whether to boycott providing security for Beyonce's upcoming concert at Carter-Finley stadium on May 3, reports WTVD.
Association spokesman Brian Lewis says he's "optimistic" they'll avoid a boycott.
The vote is in response to Beyonce's Super Bowl performance. Some say her military-inspired performance salutes the Black Panther group and is "anti-police" and "pro-violence."
"Officers of all different races and walks of life found her stance deplorable," the president of the Raleigh Police Protective Association tells ABC11.
"I come from a police family, law enforcement family, so yeah I agree," said Erwin resident Caren Gallant. "I hope that happens, they get a boycott. And I'm trying to spread that on Facebook too."
The 7 p.m. vote will be at the Teamsters Local 391 building at 6317 Angus Drive in Raleigh.
Unions in Miami, Tampa and Nashville are boycotting Beyonce's concerts or have urged officers not to volunteer.
Some Beyonce fans say she was expressing herself and disagree with a boycott.
