A community activist accused of punching a Houston police horse last week during an anti-Donald Trump protest was taken into custody Monday after a Houston judge raised her bail, reports the Houston Chronicle .
Shere Dore, 40, a vocal Black Lives Matter supporter, was escorted to a holding cell after state District Judge Jim Wallace raised her bail from $2,000 to $5,000. Dore had been out on bond after being jailed Thursday for interference with a police service animal.
