Suspect Shot, Hostages Freed at New Jersey UPS Facility

​Police in Logan Township, NJ, were able to shoot, wound, and arrest a suspect who reportedly took two women hostage at a UPS facility on Monday.

Police in Logan Township, NJ, were able to shoot, wound, and arrest a suspect who reportedly took two women hostage at a UPS facility on Monday.

According to CNN, 32 UPS employees were evacuated to a nearby hotel as negotiations began.

Police had been in telephone contact with the subject for a period of time before the armed confrontation took place.

The man apparently had a prior relationship with one of the women taken hostage. He was wounded in the exchange and taken under custody to a nearby hospital.

No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident.
