Arizona Officer Discovers Dead Woman in Passenger Seat During Traffic Stop

Officer Adam Edmonds stopped Puckett on I-10 and said he noticed a dead woman propped up in the passenger seat. The woman—identified as 74-year-old Linda Puckett—had reportedly died at a hotel in Texas.

An officer with the Eloy (AZ) Police Department made an unusual discovery during a traffic stop on Monday.

According to the Arizona Republic, Officer Adam Edmonds stopped Puckett on I-10 and said he noticed a dead woman propped up in the passenger seat. The woman—identified as 74-year-old Linda Puckett—had reportedly died at a hotel in Texas.

The driver of the vehicle—70-year-old Rodney Puckett—was booked into the Pinal County Jail on a count of abandonment or concealment of a body.

Linda Puckett's body was turned over to the Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.
