As many as 500 employees—both sworn and civilian—of the Fairfax County Police Department may have had their personal information stolen in a substantial security breach detected late last week.

According to the Washington Post, the names, dates of birth, medical information, bank account numbers, and social security numbers for its officers and other department employees were among the data that may have been compromised.

An investigation into the data breach is ongoing.
